2016-17 Alumni Directory Project

  

The Campbell University Alumni Association is preparing to produce our next Campbell Alumni directory, and we need your help!  Our last directory was printed in 2012.  Beginning in September, representatives from Publishing Concepts (PCI) will be contacting alumni like you via mail, phone, and e-mail on behalf of the university to request that you update your information.  We understand you might not want to provide your information to just anyone, so we want you to know their request for information is legitimate.

​Why do I need to update my information?

Information changes quickly! Mailing addresses, e-mail addresses, children...things are always changing with our alumni and we want to keep in touch with you.  Updating your information will ensure Campbell and the alumni association can keep you connected.

 

What are my options for purchasing a 2016 Campbell Alumni Directory from PCI?

​Why is Campbell using an outside contractor to complete this project?

Our staff team works hard to serve the Campbell Alumni family every day.  However, for certain special projects that require a large amount of dedicated time and energy, the Alumni Office has decided to retain the services of professional partners who can ensure that our next alumni director is complete, accurate, and delivered on time.

 

When will the 2016 Alumni Director be complete?

The directory will be completed and printed in late September of 2017.  Only the number of directories that have been requested by alumni will be printed to be cost effective and environmentally friendly.

 

Is there an environmentally friendly version of the Alumni Directory?

Yes, alumni may purchase a CD-ROM of the Alumni Directory.

 

Can I choose what information is listed in the directory?

Yes. As a standard, the following information will be printed in the directory:

  • Current name (last, first, middle initial) and cross-reference by name as a student
  • Class year(s) and degree(s) from Campbell
  • Up to two degrees earned from other institutions and institution names
  • Current job title, employer name, address, and phone number
  • Home mailing address and phone number
  • Preferred e-mail address
  • First names of spouse and children (up to 10)

If you wish not to have certain information printed in the directory, you may choose to have specific details omitted.

 

What if I don't want to be listed in the directory?  What if I don't want certain pieces of information listed?

PCI can still update your information for us, but will honor your specific request to exclude all of parts of your biographical data from the publication.

 

Who is Publishing Concepts?

We've partnered with Publishing Concepts to produce our alumni directory.  Established in 1921, Publishing Concepts has been an industry leader for nearly 100 years, and we are confident that this publication will meet the needs of our constituents.

 

When can I expect to hear from Publishing Concepts?

You will receive a postcard or an email with a toll-free phone number so you can call at your convenience to speak with a dedicated representative for the Campbell University project.  The representative will verify all the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed.  You may call Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until about 10:00 p.m. (ET).  They may also try to contact you at work during the day, in the evening, or during the weekend at home.  On Saturdays, they may call from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (ET).  If you are contacted at a time that is inconvenient for you, simply let the representative know.  S/he will give you Publishing Concepts toll-free number or will arrange to call you later.
