<< BackROTC Alums establish first Camel Company Scholarship
Campbell University's ROTC program has a new scholarship fund thanks to
several 1997 graduates. Brett McCreight, Bryan Kirk and Christopher
Samples, who were Commissioned as officers in the U.S. Army, had a
desire to help and support the ROTC cadets at Campbell's Camel Company
by assisting with cadet's financial obligations.
The Camel Company Alumni Scholarship Fund or CCASF, rewards deserving
sophomore and junior cadets with direct aid
scholarships in order to assist cadets with meeting their financial
obligations. Further objectives of this fund are to provide mentorship
opportunities between donors and cadets, and to capitalize on the
"esprit de corps" and generosity of the Camel Company alumni to fund
additional scholarship opportunities.
Vision: By 2015-2016 school year, CCASF transitions from a
founder-funded, yearly direct aid scholarship of $1000 to a sustained
endowment ($25,000) supported by Camel Company alumni and supporters
around the world.
