Alumni Recognition Programs

As graduates leave our campus ready to fulfill a purposeful life with meaningful service we expect they will live up to the values taught throughout their Campbell experience. Campbell alumni are 50,000 strong, making an impact around the world. We are proud of their accomplishments and seek to recognize their efforts of serving others, their communities, and their alma mater.

Award Recognition Process:

  • Nominations can be submitted throughout the year by anyone. Self-nominations are accepted.
  • The Alumni Board of Directors Recognition Committee will review all nominations, will select nominees based on nominations, and will present to the full board for approval.
  • The full Alumni Board of Directors votes on nominees during its summer meeting.
  • Recipients will be honored during various on-campus events throughout the year.

Award Descriptions

Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna

The Distinguished Alumni Award is bestowed upon a Campbell alumnus or alumna that has distinguished their self in their personal and professional career and their support of Campbell University.  We recognize these individuals during our annual Homecoming celebration.  Please give us as much information as possible in your recommendation and attach the nominee’s resume.  If you would like to nominate more than one individual, please complete a separate form. 1-3 recipients are recognized annually.

Forms received by June 9th will be considered for the 2017 awards. Any submitted after June 9th will be considered for the 2018 awards.

Outstanding Alumni Service Award

The Outstanding Alumni Service Award is bestowed upon a Campbell alumnus or alumna who has exemplified Campbell’s mission of service towards others. This person’s commitment towards serving others can be towards Campbell or their community. We recognize these individuals during our annual Homecoming celebration.  Please give us as much information as possible in your recommendation.  If you would like to nominate more than one individual, please complete a separate form. 1-3 recipients are recognized annually.

Forms received by June 9th will be considered for the 2017 awards. Any submitted after June 9th will be considered for the 2018 awards.

Emerging Leaders Award

These individuals are Campbell graduates who are 35 years old or younger. They are accomplished in their careers and have remained engaged with Campbell.  We recognize these individuals during our annual Founders Week celebration in February.  Please give us as much information as possible in your recommendation. Resumes are helpful to the recognition committee.  If you would like to nominate more than one individual, please complete a separate form. 5-8 recipients are recognized annually.

Forms received by December 1st will be considered for the 2018 awards. Any submitted after December 1st will be considered for the 2019 awards.

Chapter of the Year

Campbell’s ten alumni chapters vie for this annual award which recognizes a chapter’s success in building alumni engagement during the year. Chapters can gain an edge by hosting regional events, recruiting new members, organizing volunteer or philanthropic opportunities, demonstrating support for current and prospective Campbell students, and using communications to keep members connected to the chapter and the University.
